Admission Policy

ADMISSION POLICY

Atara is not only a community school, but is a destination for high school students from across the country.  We are an excellent option for those who are seeking a warm and wholesome environment founded upon excellence, wherein Jewish high school girls from diverse backgrounds will feel welcomed and embraced. Atara is a place where girls will grow both academically and spiritually to be well rounded individuals, who love Judaism and serve as shining examples of authentic B’nos Yisroel.

We are seeking students who will flourish in this environment of academic challenge and one-on-one focus. A desire to learn and grow and a keen work ethic are prerequisites for any incoming Atara student.

Admission will only be granted to students who embrace Atara’s mission and vision statements. Atara Administration reserves the right to deny admission to any student who is not aligned with these principles.

In order to ensure the integrity of Atara’s educational model, the Administration will thoroughly review applicants and only accept students who will genuinely thrive in our school.

Atara Girls High School, a division of Cincinnati Hebrew Day, recruits and admits students of any race, color or ethnic origin to all its rights, privileges, programs and activities. In addition, the school will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, employment, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school administered programs.

BOARDER PROGRAM

Atara is not only a community school, but is a destination for high school students from across the country who are seeking a warm and wholesome environment founded upon excellence, wherein Jewish high school girls from diverse backgrounds will feel welcomed and embraced; a place where girls will grow both academically and spiritually to be well rounded individuals, who love Judaism and serve as shining examples of authentic B’nos DSCN2529Yisroel (Daughters of Israel).

As part of Atara’s Boarder’s Program, students will enjoy a structured program, which allows them to feel at home, with supervision, guidelines, and designated support to tend to their needs, whether it be shopping, rides, or the like. Students will live in the home of one of our gracious community members, who will partner with parents to provide a watchful eye and a caring touch.

Host families are very carefully selected. They are happy to invite your daughter to be a part of their family and give them that touch of home away from home. We have a warm and friendly community in Cincinnati that welcomes newcomers and is excited to be a significant part of our growing school.

In order to ensure the integrity of Atara’s educational model, the Administration will thoroughly review applicants and only accept students who will genuinely thrive alongside all of the other students.
